Child Nutrition Sharing Site
The Child Nutrition Sharing Site (CNSS) is an online information center providing Child Nutrition Programs with a means for sharing effective resources related to program operation. CNSS aids in the collection and sharing of state and local resources by providing a centralized place to store, organize, manage, and share knowledge and tools.
Team Nutrition Initiative
Team Nutrition is an initiative of the USDA Food and Nutrition Service to support the child nutrition programs through training and technical assistance for foodservice, nutrition education for children and their caregivers, and school and community support for healthy eating and physical activity. MyPlate Nutrition Education Materials
Team Nutrition provides MyPlate materials that are developed specifically for kids and their parents/caregivers. We also offer evidenced-based curricula that educators can use to integrate MyPlate lessons into core educational subjects, such as Math, English Language Arts, and Science.
School Nutrition Environment Resources
The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) requires all local educational agencies participating in federal Child Nutrition programs to establish and implement, for all schools under its jurisdiction, local school wellness policies that meet minimum standards designed to promote sound nutrition, student health, reduce childhood obesity, and provide transparency to the public on the school nutrition environment. This Web site is dedicated to helping local educational agencies find the resources they need to meet recommendations in these areas.
