The Federal Grants Management (FGM) unit assists Arkansas public school districts, open enrollment charter schools, Department of Correction School, Division of Youth Services Local Neglected and Delinquent Institutions, and Education Service Cooperatives manage funding and fiscal issues through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) by providing day-to-day correspondence and technical assistance.
The FGM unit calculates funding for the following federal programs: Title I Part A, Title I Part D Subpart 1 and Subpart 2, Title I School Improvement 1003a, Title II-A, Title III, Title VI REAP-RLIS, School Improvement 1003g, Title VI-B Special Education (School Age), and Federal Preschool Special Education. The unit also verifies obligation and expenditure of those funds according to federal laws and regulations.
