Alternative education is an important nontraditional opportunity for intervention that some students participate in for ultimate academic, social, and emotional success. Many components must occur simultaneously for an alternative education program to be approved. Alternative education programs must submit a program description every three years at a minimum. The program description submitted demonstrates components required by the law and rules.
