State Standards Review for Mathematics and English Language Arts

Click on the following link to view recorded sessions of the State Standards Review Meetings held in October and November 2015:

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is committed to ensuring a thoughtful review and revision of the current standards by a committee of knowledgeable and experienced Arkansas educators. The revised standards will impact the future of all Arkansans by providing a solid foundation for college and career ready students. Recognizing this, ADE welcomes the opinions and suggestions of all stakeholders. Parents, teachers and all other community members are invited to participate in surveys about the current standards (see below).

Additionally, expert reviewers from four Arkansas universities have devoted significant time and thought to this revision, and their reports will be taken into account. The standards revision will be led by the program staff in ADE’s Curriculum and Instruction Unit, who will ensure the clarity and rigor of the new standards. This collaboration of experienced educators, dedicated stakeholders, experts in the field and veteran staff will provide Arkansas students with the opportunities they need to be successful.
