2019 LEA Administrators’ Academy

2019 LEA AcademyThe LEA Administrators’ Academy will be held on September 11 and 12, 2019, at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

The academy will feature a variety of sessions designed to give attendees access to the information and supports they need to provide leadership linked to inclusive practices aimed at the implementation of effective programs for students with disabilities as part of a student-focused system of education.

The keynote speaker will be Julie A. Schmidt, co-author of Yes We Can! Julie is a nationally respected speaker whose work has focused on bringing together general and special educators to collaborate in PLCs. Julie is currently serving as the superintendent of schools in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Her 26-year professional background includes service as a superintendent, associate superintendent, high school director of student services, school psychologist, assistant superintendent, and assistant sirector of special education for early childhood through high school.

Whether you are a principal, special education supervisor, or EC coordinator, or whether you are a long time attendee or will be a first timer, the table is set and there is a seat waiting for you. Please join us for your 2019 LEA Administrators’ Academy.
