Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing educator competencies for educator preparation programs at Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs). This position will be responsible for recruiting and convening panels to review proposals for licensure programs. The job involves collaborating with the Arkansas Department of Higher Education to facilitate the program approval process. This position and another advisor will be responsible for reviewing these program proposals and recommending their approval. This position will be part of a team that facilitates the state review for the approved Education Preparation Providers every six years. The job also involves assisting a team with the state audit of the Science of Reading in Educator Preparation Programs, as required by the new 2023 statute.

Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in public administration, educational administration, education, or related field; plus five years of experience in education, public school administration, or related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
