We invite you to join us for our monthly LEA call, Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.  The September call will include the following topics:

As a reminder, we will be using ZOOM for the calls and participants will be able to see and hear the presenters but will not be able to be heard or seen on the webcam. Pre-submitted questions will be answered during the call so if you would like to submit questions for the call or submit ideas for future topics, please provide that information to us by clicking here.

-Self-contained LRE placement is not a requirement to make a HCO claim.

Topics: Allyn Lowery, from El Dorado School District will be spotlighting how they use assistive technology.  Chris Carter, Kelsey Elam, and Angela Vann, from Magnolia School District will be spotlighting their successes with co-teaching and transition.  Katie Martin and Sarah Cotton from Stuttgart School District will highlight the work they have accomplished with behavior and the BX3 Project.  We know teachers across the state have great stories to tell and we are glad that these districts will be sharing theirs.

Topics: Sonja Wright-McMurray, Associate Director for Accountability, Career Readiness, and Technical Programs and Sarah Shamburger, Program Coordinator for Accountability and Funding, Division of Career and Technical Education (CTE), will provide information on CTE-Perkins Accountability and TRIAND and eSchool coding issues for students with disabilities. Suzie Baker, Director of Easterseals Arkansas Outreach Program and Technology Services, will be discussing two capacity building projects that Easterseals is involved in that support LEAs. The call will include Special Education updates as well.
