On March 8, 2023, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed Act 237, known as the Arkansas LEARNS Act, into law. The Arkansas LEARNS Act is bold and comprehensive and will transform education in Arkansas.

The U.S. Department of Education today recognized 353 schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2023, including three schools in Arkansas. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups on assessments.
