The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) joined Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in celebrating National School Choice Week. Governor Sanders signed a proclamation designating Jan. 25-31 as School Choice Week in Arkansas.

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is observing the last week of January as Holocaust Education Week. Pursuant to Arkansas Code A.C.A. ยง 6-16-154, Holocaust education is required to be taught in all public schools in a grade-appropriate manner for students in grades 5-12, addressing the causes, events, and consequences of the Holocaust.

The Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind Board of Trustees meeting has been rescheduled. The Board will now meet February 3 at 5 p.m. in the Woolly Auditorium, Arkansas School for the Blind, 2600 West Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205.
