The Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind Board of Trustees meeting has been rescheduled. The Board will now meet February 3 at 5 p.m. in the Woolly Auditorium, Arkansas School for the Blind, 2600 West Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205.

Arkansas Secretary of Education Jacob Oliva and Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind (ARDB) Superintendent Nicole Walsh joined other dignitaries to sign and witness the placement of the final beam on the new Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind facility.

For the second year in a row, Arkansas ranks in the top three states on the American Legislative Exchange Council’s (ALEC) Index of State Education Freedom. The report analyzes each state’s charter school, homeschool, virtual school and open enrollment laws to determine accessibility to a variety of learning environments.

The United States Senate Youth Program is pleased to announce that high school students Ms. Manvitha Narasimhan and Mr. Eric Tang will join Senator John Boozman and Senator Tom Cotton in representing Arkansas during the 64th annual USSYP Washington Week, to be held March 7-14, 2026.
