Jessica currently serves as a kindergarten teacher at East Pointe Elementary in Greenwood. She holds her B.S.E. in early childhood education from University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.

Leslie currently serves as a kindergarten teacher at East Pointe Elementary School in Greenwood. She holds her B.S.E. from Arkansas Tech University and a M.S.E. in educational theory and practice from Arkansas State University.

Kathy holds her B.S.E. in early childhood education P-6. She currently teaches kindergarten at East Pointe Elementary in Greenwood.

Pam currently serves as a kindergarten teacher at East Pointe Elementary in Greenwood. She holds a B.S.E. in K-6, an ESL certification K-12, and reading certification from Arkansas Tech University at Ozark.

First Grade Team

Gina is a first grade teacher at Bragg Elementary School in the West Memphis School District. She holds a B.S.E. in early childhood education from Arkansas State University. She is beginning her coursework to obtain her M.S.E. in educational leadership.

Raven has taught for 16 years and currently serves as a first grade teacher at Bragg Elementary. Raven received her B.S.E. and M.S.E. from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

Kathy currently teaches second grade at Quitman Elementary where she serves on the Guiding Coalition as well as the RTI team. She received her B.S.E. in early childhood education with an ESL endorsement from the University of Central Arkansas.

Maegan has taught first grade at Quitman Elementary for 8 years. She received a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Central Arkansas. She then went through the APPEL program to receive a P-4 teacher's license. Maegan also received a master's degree in educational theory and practice from Arkansas State University.

Jaime has taught for 17 years and currently teaches first grade at Eastside Elementary in Greenbrier. She holds her B.S.E. in early childhood education from the University of Central Arkansas.

Lindsey currently teaches first grade at Ballman Elementary in the Fort Smith Public Schools. She received her B.S.E. in elementary education with kindergarten certification from the University of Central Arkansas. Lindsey became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2017.

Tyler currently serves as a first grade teacher at Eastside Elementary in Greenbrier. She holds her B.S.E. from University of Central Arkansas and a M.S.E. in educational theory and practice from Arkansas State University.

Kallee currently teaches first grade at Quitman Elementary School. She received her B.S.E. in elementary education from the University of Central Arkansas.

Sarah currently serves as a first grade teacher at Park Avenue Elementary where she serves as the Grade Level Chair, Math Task Force Chair, and is a member of Park Avenue Elementary's Guiding Coalition Leadership Team. She holds a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.

Halisha currently serves as a first grade teacher at Quitman Elementary School and serves on the Guiding Coalition. She holds a B.S.E. in early childhood education from Harding University and a M.S.E. in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.

Jenny currently serves as a second grade teacher at Oaklawn Visual and Performing Arts School. She received a B.A. in psychology/Christian counseling at Ouachita Baptist University. She earned her non-traditional teaching license from the Arkansas Department of Education.

Janette currently serves as a second grade teacher at Prescott Elementary School. She received her B.S.E. and M.S.E. at Henderson State University.

Megan currently serves as a second grade teacher at Oaklawn Visual and Performing Arts School. She holds a B.S.E. and dyslexia therapist endorsement from the University of Central Arkansas.

Barbara is currently a second grade teacher at Oaklawn Visual and Performing Arts School in Hot Springs. She holds a B.S.E. from Athens State University with a minor in ELL and a certificate in educational technology. She is pursuing a M.S.E. in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.

Third Grade Team

Kyle currently serves as an apprentice at Spradling Elementary through the Teacher Apprenticeship Program from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Kyle will be graduating with a B.S. in elementary education at the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

Courtney currently serves as the mentor teacher for the first ever Apprenticeship Pilot in Arkansas. Courtney has a B.S.E. in early childhood education; certifications in ESOL, 4-8 middle school English, 4-8 middle school social studies; and a M.S.E. in educational leadership.

Dana currently teaches third grade literacy at Bismarck Elementary School. Dana received her elementary Bachelor of Arts with a focus on literacy P-6 from the University of Wyoming. She currently serves as the third grade team leader on the Bismarck Elementary School Leadership Committee.

Bridget currently serves as a third grade literacy teacher at Quitman Elementary School and serves on the Guiding Coalition. She holds a B.S.E. in early childhood education from Arkansas Tech University and a M.S.E. in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.

Rachel currently serves as a third grade integrated and general education math teacher at East Pointe Elementary School in Greenwood and serves on the Guiding Coalition. She holds a B.S.E. in early childhood education from John Brown University and a M.S.E. in special education from Arkansas State University.

James currently teaches third grade math at East Pointe Elementary in Greenwood. He received his B.S.E. in early childhood education from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. He is also a licensed preacher through WME, Harvest Time Church, and the state of Arkansas.

Merary currently serves as an apprentice at Spradling Elementary through the teacher apprenticeship program from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Merary will be graduating May 2020 with a B.S. in elementary education.

Kim currently serves as a science and social studies teacher at Quitman Elementary School. She holds a B.S.E. in early childhood education from the University of Central Arkansas.

Stephen currently teaches sixth grade math, science, social studies, and literacy at Morrilton Intermediate School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Arkansas State University, a Master of Science in information technology from Arkansas State University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Central Arkansas through a non-traditional licensure program.

Seventh Grade Team

Paula currently teaches seventh and eighth grade ELA for Prescott Junior High School. Paula is beginning her 20th year teaching. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas and her master's in elementary education from Mississippi College. She taught in the Mississippi delta for 11 years before moving back home to Arkansas in 2011. She taught fifth and sixth grade at Mabelvale Middle School until 2016 when she moved to Prescott.

Correna currently teaches seventh grade English at Darby Junior High. She received her B.S. in human environmental sciences at the University of Arkansas. She earned her non-traditional teaching license and ELL endorsement through the APPEL program.

Niki is teaching seventh and eighth grade math at Prescott Junior High. She received her B.S.E. at Henderson State University and her M.S.E. from Southern Arkansas University.

Angie currently serves as a band director in Fort Smith where she has been for the last 15 years. She holds a B.M.E., a M.Ed. in instructional technology, and a M.Ed. in educational leadership all from Arkansas Tech University. Her band was also a 2019 Honor Band for Arkansas.

Eighth Grade Team

Nick Ballard currently teaches Pre-AP and on-level social studies at Lakeside High School along with U.S. History. In addition to teaching, he is the assistant high school wrestling coach. Nick has a B.A. in English with a minor in History from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Paula currently teaches seventh and eighth grade ELA for Prescott Junior High School. Paula is beginning her 20th year teaching. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas and her master's in elementary education from Mississippi College. Zack Teaches eighth grade science at Darby Junior High School. He received a bachelor's degree in biology with teacher licensure from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Currently he is pursuing a master's in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.

Paul currently serves as a seventh grade math teacher at Lakeside Middle School. He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Southern Arkansas University.

Jordan is currently an English 8/Pre-AP English 8, and high school ESL English teacher at Lakeside High School. She has a B.A.E. from Ouachita Baptist University and is currently pursuing her M.S.E. in TESOL at Henderson State University.

Cody is currently an eighth grade science teacher at Lakeside High School and next year will serve as an Assistant Principal at the Lakeside School District in Hot Springs. He received his B.S.E. at Arkansas Tech (2011) and his M.S.E. from Arkansas State (2019).

April has taught for 22 years and currently serves as an eighth grade Pre-AP social studies instructor and the head coach of junior volleyball and senior girls' track. She holds a B.S.E. from Henderson State University and a M.S.E. in educational theory and practice from Arkansas State University.

Adam teaches honors eighth grade pre-algebra at Lakeside High School. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Education from Southern Arkansas University and Master of Science in educational leadership from Southern Arkansas University.

Emilee currently teaches Pre-AP and general social studies and serves as the Social Studies Instructional Chair at Darby Junior High. She is the head boys' and girls' cross country coach, head archery coach, and head girls' track coach. Emilee received her B.S.E. in physical education/health from University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, a M.A.T. from University of Arkansas at Monticello, a M.Ed. in special education from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, and most recently completed her Ed.S. in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.

Marylou currently serves as an eighth grade ELA teacher at Lakeside High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Baylor University and her M.A.T. from Mississippi College.

9-12 ELA Team

Susan currently teaches 10th grade English and Pre-AP English at Northside High School in Fort Smith. She has 17 years of teaching experience, the last five years at Northside. Susan earned her B.A. in English at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and received her teaching certificate through the state's non-traditional teacher licensing program.

Renee' teaches high school English at Quitman High School. She is certified and endorsed in 7-12 ELA, journalism, oral communications, and P-12 ESL. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher and is currently working on her master's degree in English.

Louise has just finished her 13th year in education and is currently pursuing an Ed.S. degree in principalship from Henderson State University. She holds a B.A. in English from Ouachita Baptist University and a M.A. in English from Arkansas Tech University.

Kaylee currently teaches AP English Language and Composition and 11th grade English. She has worked at Northside for seven years since graduating from Oklahoma State University with an honors B.A. in English with teaching certification. Kaylee is currently pursuing an M.F.A. from Arkansas Tech University

Claire currently serves as an Instructional Specialist at Northside High School. She holds a B.A. and a M.A.T. from the University of Arkansas. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in AYA Social Studies.

Rachel teaches high school English at Quitman High School. She received her B.A. in English in 2015 from University of Central Arkansas. She is certified in 4-12 ELA and endorsed in oral communications. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in school counseling.

Lacey is a secondary English and social studies teacher at Quitman High School. She received her B.A. from the University of Central Arkansas.

Jonathan teaches social studies and English at Quitman High School. He received his B.A. in English and writing and his M.A.T. from the University of Central Arkansas.

9-12 Math Team

Marquita Carty is currently the Math Curriculum Coordinator for Northside High School. She holds a B.S. in mathematics from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville and a M.Ed. in teaching, learning, and leadership from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher in AYA Math.

Debra has primarily taught algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-cal/trig, and various other math courses for 26 years. The last 24 years she has taught at Quitman High School. She holds a B.S. in math and teacher certification from the University of Central Arkansas.

Nicole Currently serves as a 9-12 mathematics teacher at Hamburg High School. She received her B.S. in general studies from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She earned her non-traditional teaching license through the Master of Arts in Teaching program at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Ariane teaches middle and high school science and coaches the junior and senior high cheer teams at Quitman High School. She is certified in K-6 math and social studies, 4-8 core subjects, and career development. She received both her B.S.E. in middle level education and her master's in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.

Kerbi currently teaches geometry, Pre-AP algebra 2, and AP Statistics at Northside High School in Fort Smith. She received her B.S. in mathematics with teacher licensure 7-12 from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, and received her M.Ed. in educational theory and practice from Arkansas State University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in AYA Math.

Cortney is a high school math teacher and head of the math department at Quitman High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in math with a minor in computer science from Ouachita Baptist University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Henderson State University, and 18 additional graduate math hours from the University of Arkansas. Cortney also qualified for National Board Certification in 2017.

Angela currently serves as an Instructional Facilitator at Darby Junior High. She received a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a Master of Education in reading with a minor in psychology from University Louisiana Monroe. She received her Administration and Supervision Certification from Louisiana State University at Shreveport and is a National Board Certified Teacher in Mathematics/Early Adolescence.

Jolene currently serves as a sixth grade math teacher at Quitman Elementary. She received her B.S.E. in middle level education from the University of Central Arkansas. She obtained her master's degree in education theory and practice from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. She is a National Board Certified Teacher of Mathematics.

Special Education Team

Kelly holds a B.S.E. in P-4 general education and P-4 special education from Southern Arkansas University and a M.S.E. in 5-12 special education from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. She spent nine years as a special education paraprofessional and 10 years as a special education teacher (resource and self-contained).

Lisa currently serves as the K-12 Special Education Instructional Specialist for Bentonville Schools. Lisa received her B.S.E. in P-8 general Eeducation and K-12 special education from the University of South Dakota. Lisa also received her M.S.E. in K-12 special education from Arkansas State University.

Chassity currently teaches first through fifth grade special education at Bismarck Elementary and Middle School. Chassity received her Bachelor of Science in psychology at the University of Phoenix. Chassity received her master's in special education K-12 at Henderson State University.

Heather currently teaches sixth through eighth grade self-contained at Monticello Middle School. Heather serves as chair for the sixth grade team. She is a member of the Building Level Team and is the building Family and Community Engagement Coordinator. Heather has a Bachelor of Arts in speech communications and physical rducation, Master of Arts in Teaching, and has completed the educational leadership program in building admin and LEA/curriculum through Southern Arkansas University (May 2020). Heather is beginning her 12th year of teaching.

Amanda currently serves as the third and fourth grade ELA and math inclusion teacher and is a member of the guiding coalition. She received her B.S.E. in middle level education from Arkansas State University in 2007 and her M.S.E. in P-12 special education from UCA in 2014.

Laura currently serves as the special education English teacher for grades 8-12 and as co-coordinator for the Bismarck ESOL Program. She received her B.S.E. from Arkansas State University and her M.Ed. from Harding University.

Sonja currently teaches 7-12 special education at Bismarck High School. Sonja received her Bachelor of Science in education P-4 at Henderson State University and received her master's in special education 7-12 at Arkansas State University.

Kim currently teaches special education resource at Gurdon for grades two through four. She earned her B.A.E. in early childhood education from Ouachita Baptist University and will finish with her master's in special education this December from Henderson State University.

Serena Scheele is currently teaching at Glenn Duffy Elementary (K-2). She has been teaching since 1997 as a special education teacher. She has taught in self-contained, resource, and co-taught classrooms. She earned her master's in 2000, also in special education.

Jennifer currently serves as the fifth grade resource teacher at Camden Fairview Intermediate School. She holds a master's in elementary education and a Bachelor of Science in education from Southern Arkansas University.

Lucy currently teaches K-2 self-contained at Glenn Duffy Elementary. She received her master's in educational leadership from Arkansas State University in 2018. She is licensed to teach P-4, ESL K-12, special education resource, and is finishing up her endorsement in special education. Lucy has been teaching since 2012.

Creative Services

Teaching is a second career for me. My first career began in advertising as a graphic artist working for the Arkansas Gazette before its closure. That closure prompted a move to the Arkansas Times as the advertising coordinator before returning home to work at a local newspaper and printing company. I began substitute teaching to supplement a small promotional products business from my home and decided I liked teaching and being around kiddos. After receiving my teaching license as a non-traditional student through the Department of Education, I began working at Quitman Public Schools. After leaving briefly, I've found my way back and now am the K-12 art and elementary GT teacher at Quitman. In 2020-2021, it will be my eighth year teaching and my sixth year at Quitman, and I'm thrilled to be here! I have a bachelor's degree in fine art from Arkansas Tech University and a M.S.E. in gifted and talented from Arkansas State University.

I live in Russellville with my daughter, Hanna Jane, who has just finished her MBA from Arkansas Tech. When I'm not teaching, I'm working with my small business and serving as president of The Dance Foundation, a nonprofit organization that produces The Nutcracker Ballet in Russellville.
