Information Systems Unit
The Information Systems Unit is responsible for the maintenance, development, and enhancement for Education Information Systems (EIS) and Statewide Information System (SIS). The unit operates primarily through two portals: ADE Data Center and ADE Employees Intranet.
The ADE Data Center is a collection of data systems, data tools, and informational reports for educators, policymakers, teachers, parents, school districts, and anyone interested in official data from the ADE.
The SIS enables school districts to certify and submit data to the state nine times a year. The SIS pulls data from different sources like district’s Student Management System and Financial Management System. The SIS cycle submission process allows districts to review their data, clear errors and verify through cycle reports prior to certifying and submission to the state. Certified data then gets loaded into the K-12 data warehouse for reporting to the federal, state and other data needs.
The Information Systems Unit continuously strives to align its goals with the overall mission of the department in providing leadership, support, and service to all stakeholders in a way that will ultimately impact student outcomes.
