Alt ELPA
The Alt ELPA is a new alternate assessment of English language proficiency designed specifically for K-12 English learners with the most significant cognitive disabilities who are eligible to participate in Arkansas’ alternate assessment (DLM), as determined by a student's IEP team. It was developed through the CAAELP project in collaboration with state and national partners. Its purpose is to provide fair and valid information on the English language proficiency of this historically underserved group of students, measuring student English proficiency in four language domains: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
