Child Outcome Planning and Administration (COPA)
If you have not received training in Child Outcome Planning and Administration (COPA), or need to know what requirements are new this year; you can visit the Traveling Arkansas' Professional Pathways (TAPP) Registry to find a class that is convenient for you. All staff that enter information into COPA are required to attend COPA training.
Basic COPA – Staff will learn the basic fundamentals of COPA. Staff will learn how to navigate around in COPA and submit all information that is required by the Division.
Advanced COPA – This is more in-depth training for those who have mastered the basics of COPA. Staff will be shown all new updates and requirements, as well as any new features that COPA has to offer.
Approved Curriculum
The Arkansas Department of Human Services and the Arkansas Department of Education, in collaboration with statewide stakeholders, have established a list of curriculum resources that align with the Arkansas Early Childhood Education Framework. Arkansas Better Chance programs must use this curricula. Although the curriculum resources have met the criteria for use in Arkansas, the most successful curriculum is based on the interests and needs of the children. Teachers and administrators should expect to adapt published curriculum materials for use with each unique group of children.
