Purpose of the Arkansas Leadership Academy

The Arkansas Leadership Academy (ALA) is a statewide leadership development hub dedicated to strengthening the capacity of Arkansas educational leaders. Through relevant, personalized professional learning, ALA equips leaders to drive systemic change and improve teaching and learning across the state.

Core Mission

ALA provides personalized professional learning pathways for educational leaders at every level—from classroom teachers to district executives. These pathways are designed to help leaders:

Strengthen their leadership knowledge and skills
Implement evidence-based practices
Influence classroom, school, and district practices
Engage families, communities, and other stakeholders
Inform and influence local and state education policy
