Act 1063 of 2017, the Right to Read Act requires that graduates of Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12) in spring 2021 and thereafter shall demonstrate proficiency in knowledge and practices of scientific reading instruction. All other programs graduates shall demonstrate awareness in knowledge and practices scientific reading instruction.
 
The document Proficiency and Awareness Pathways in Educator Preparation Programs provides the coursework/modules that have been implemented within programs to meet the Right to Read Act. All coursework/modules listed in the cell must be completed within the same program to meet the requirement.
