LEADS 2.0 Overview

The Leader Excellence and Development System [LEADS] 2.0 provides professional support, communication and documentation of District, School and Charter Leaders. LEADS 2.0 rubrics are based on the State Board of Education’s adoption of the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CCSSO 2015) as Arkansas’ Leadership Standards.

LEADS 2.0 applies to the work of Building-level Principals, Building-level Assistant Principals and Curriculum Program Administrators at the Building- or District-level.

LEADS 2.0 rubrics supports improved application of leadership best practices while facilitating focus on the power of working together to support each student in Arkansas public and charter schools as they reach ‘future-ready’.

Timeline for the creation, on- boarding and use of these systems has become flexible due to the changing instructional landscape.

Beginning July, 2020, both the LEADS 2.0 Principal and Assistant Principal Rubrics are in statewide use.  Both rubrics will be available in EdReflect beginning with the August 10 update.

The Curricular Program Administrator rubric work will follow in the Spring of 2021.
