Online Teaching Assessment
The Online Teaching Endorsement Assessment is an evidence-based performance assessment for Arkansas educators seeking to add the Online Teaching Endorsement to their license. This endorsement is an exception-area endorsement and requires completion of an approved Online Teaching Program of Study through a participating EPP and a passing score on the Arkansas Online Teaching Assessment.
Endorsement Requirements
- Complete an approved Online Teaching Program of Study with a participating Educator Preparation Program (EPP).
- Earn a passing score on the Arkansas Online Teaching Assessment.

Assessment Overview
The Arkansas Online Teaching Assessment includes four required topics:
- Course Preparation
- Course Development
- Communicating with Stakeholders
- Syllabus Submission
Assessment Timeline and Fees
- Candidates have 6 weeks to complete the assessment after registration.
- Full assessment fee: $100
- Topic retake fee: $25 per topic
- Attempt limit: One attempt is allowed per payment.

Note: Registration for the full Online Teaching Endorsement program is a separate process. This registration is for the assessment only.
