Fine Arts Standards and Courses
2020 Fine Arts Standards
The Arkansas Fine Arts Standards reflect the best contemporary philosophy and practices in arts education, provide courses that meet the needs of Arkansas students, and offer consistency of format and content across all disciplines and all levels. Updated in 2020 by a committee of arts educators representing all arts disciplines, all grade levels, and all areas of the state, the following standards allow students to create and perform or present original artistic work, as well as to respond and connect their own artistic work to that of other people and other cultures.
The 2020 Fine Arts Standards were available for voluntary implementation in the 2020-2021 school year. Full implementation of these standards began in the 2021-2022 school year.
